The benefits of bitcoin to investors and the economy at large are quite numerous. This is why so many countries are adopting its use for various purposes. In this article Roger Ver, a prominent supporter of bitcoin adoption provides more details on his personal secrets to success as a Bitcoin investor. All information in this article were drafted out of the book Crypto Factor by Paul Democritou.
Becoming Bitcoin Jesus
Speaking on how he became Bitcoin Jesus, Roger recalled that he tried his hands on different things before making a lasting impact in the crypto industry. “I remember as a kid reading books and studying about the human brain and the ability to learn things. They were saying that there’s a finite limit to what you can do. “If you tell yourself, “Oh, I can’t do this because I’m not good enough at that,” you’re gonna be right but try. So, I guess the best advice I can give is to try. If you don’t try, you’re never gonna succeed.”
Failures in life
On lessons learned during his failures in life, Roger urged newbies never to give up but keep pushing harder. “Everybody has failures in life, but you don’t give up. You try, and you try again. I remember some person on YouTube commented on some video., “Oh my god, you are so persistent,” in a negative way. Something like, “Don’t you know you’re so persistent?” I replied persistence is how you get things done. They said, “Don’t you ever give up?” and I said, “No, not giving up is how you get things done.” If something’s not working, it’s okay to try different angles.
What success means
Roger Keith Ver believes that success has a lot to do with personal happiness. “I think success means your happiness. You have to decide for yourself what makes you happy. If sitting on the beach every day sipping martinis makes you happy, make that happen. If working every day and spreading cryptocurrency around the world makes you happy, then do that. You need to look inside your own heart, in your mind, figure out what makes you happy. Then figure out how to do those things that make you happy. It’s different for every person. “
Two books for newbies in the crypto space
“Another piece of good advice is to read more books. Reading books is like having a one-on-one tutoring session with some of the smartest humans to ever live.”
For newbies that want to succeed in the crypto space, Roger recommends reading Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt and The Law by Frederic Bastiat. “It is only 65 pages or something like that, and it’s more of a long essay than a book. But it will change the way you view the entire world. You’ll see the world more clearly after having read that book. I think both of those are available free online in PDF forms.”
Other ways to succeed
On other personal secrets to success, Roger said, “You have to try, and you have to try hard. Don’t give up. I remember when I was starting my first business, Memory Dealers, as a young man. I worked every single day on it like it was my entire life. Friday evening would come around, and I’d get home from work, and maybe 7:30 or 8:00 p.m. My friends would come up, “Hey, Roger, let’s go out.” and I’d want to see my friends, but I’d say, “Sorry guys, I’m too tired.” So I’d wake up Saturday morning, and I’d work some more. If you want to be successful in business, there’s no substitute for hard work.
Conclusion
Finally, speaking on his personal secrets to success, Roger emphasized the need to have the right mentors in life. According to him, “My mentors in life were authors of books. My mentors in life are some of the smartest people to have ever lived because I picked up their books, and I read them.
